Should i just do it?

I've been working on a novel for 4 years and just got done with draft 4.5. I'm starting to get anxious to publish. I just want it to be out there and I think it's ready. The problem is, I haven't been able to get anyone to actually beta read it for an outsider's perspective. I'm starting to get to the point where I don't care. I just want to publish it. Has anyone "just done it" and had decent results? I'm not looking for profit, I just hope a few people will read it!
