Need Advice for Registration

I’m an incoming freshman and I am trying to figure something out with registration. I am currently scheduled to have a ugs that I do not think I will like and could switch to an online government class instead, but I do not know if I should or not. I know you can take a ugs in the second semester and I think that could give me a better shot to get a better subject, but I am not sure so I wanted to hear from others who know more about this than me.
