Do yall think this is just potato skin?

I was eating lays salt and vinegar chips and this thrown piece came out as I was eating the chips. It was soft, brown and flexible like potato skin but idk how it got in the bag/if that happens. Part of me is concerned it was like a bad piece or something and maybe the bag wasn’t sealed properly. I have pics but can upload them but was curious if this has happened to anyone else or if it’s a bad piece!
