Does the Beats Solo Buds worth it or just hype?
Picked up the Beats Solo Buds recently after seeing them all over social media and wanted to see if they were more than just a good-looking pair of earbuds. They’re smaller than I expected, super lightweight, and fit pretty snug in the ears. The case is compact and easy to carry around, though it doesn’t charge the buds, it just stores them. That caught me off guard at first.
Sound-wise, they’re solid for the price. The bass is definitely there (as expected from Beats), but it doesn’t drown everything else out. Vocals come through clearly, and they’re decent for casual listening, podcasts, and calls. They don’t have active noise cancellation, but the passive isolation is actually not bad if you get a good fit. Battery life has been solid so far, around 15 hours total, which lines up with what they advertised. Pairing with my iPhone was instant thanks to the Apple H1 chip, and switching between devices was smooth.
A few downsides though: no volume controls on the buds themselves, which is something I kept reaching for out of habit. Also, the lack of a charging case means you’ll have to keep an eye on battery levels a bit more than usual. And while the sound is clean, it’s not on the same level as the more premium earbuds out there.
Overall, they’re good for everyday use, workouts, or commuting. They feel more like a casual, plug-and-play option rather than something for serious audiophiles. Anyone else using the Beats Solo Buds? Curious to hear if others are loving them or ran into the same quirks.
