I loved Rogue One but found Andor incredibly boring and didnt watch past the first episode. Am I missing anything?

I cried watching Rogue One. I thought the story was great, the characters well written and the ending powerful. Just the right mix of comedy, adventure, and tragedy.

I tried watching Andor but honest to god could NOT get into it. It is hands down the ONLY SW tv show that I cannot make it through. In fact, im not even sure why?

Ive watched, and played, a lot of star wars media and games before and after Disney took over. Been a fan since I saw The Phantom Menace in theaters as a child. I grew up being the only girl in my class to play jedi knight academy etc. Like I love star wars.

My best guess is that I just dont know the characters in Andor well? Maybe I just didn't feel connected to any of them? Idk

I was recently told that Andor is tied to Rogue One somehow but im not really sure how and i honestly have zero interest watching it. Can anyone just give me the highlights of how Andor connects to Rogue One?

Or; does Andor actually get interesting at all past episode 1???

Idk just wanted to know the connection.
