Is it witchy or am I crazy?
Seeking information from more qualified people in dreams/premonitions across generations.
Here's the situation.
I have had visitation dreams from my dead grandparents/great-grandparents since I was like three. They are vivid, detailed, and always come as warnings or guidance.
Two for reference:
1: My sister suffered a miscarriage, and a few weeks later, all four of my deceased grandparents came to me in a dream. The room was fuzzy, but they were clear. My paternal Grandfather was holding a baby and told me to tell my sister, "Tell -insert family nickname- we have her. We'll take care of her until she gets here, she's beautiful like her mama". When I told my sister about it, she said that shortly before her miscarriage, she had a dream about her baby being a girl.
2: (This one is my favorite) My paternal Grandmother -- who was fabulous in fashion and personality-- came to me in a dream that was eerily similar to the scene in harry potter where Dumbledore talks to him in kings' cross station after Voldemort kills him. To tell me to tell my brother, "Tell -insert sibling name- I know, and I'm sorry", me asks are you talking about him being gay?! and she repeats, "Tell -insert sibling name- I know, and I'm sorry". Fast forward to me telling my family about it, and my brother then proclaims, "Nana is making sure everything is fair even in death," and then proceeds to tell me he bought an engagement ring for his boyfriend. I was the only one who didn't know.
After that dream, I hadn't been visited for a while, but then a couple of months back, I had a dream where I was reliving my sister's bridal shower. In the dream, a very close family friend who became a stand-in grandparent after my above-mentioned nana passed, locked eyes with me, started to glimmer, and then told me, "I'm ready to go home, -insert deceased husband's name here- is waiting for me, I have to go". I woke up PANICKING because she was very much still alive at the time of the dream and then passed away a week to the day after the dream.
Last week, I had a second dream like this for a person I am not even very close with, who the next day we found out is in failing health.
So... WTF is that about???
Most importantly, my sister has started having more frequent premonitions, and her daughter has been talking about the aforementioned grandpa (whom she never met) in great detail due to dreams.
So, I am turning to the wisdom of the internet to gain some perspective on why these dreams/feelings are becoming more frequent. We are discovering that they span not only to current generations but also to past ones.
If it helps, we come from strong Irish, Scottish, British, Germanic, and other European descent
