I didn’t realize iodine deficiency could feel this bad, and how much better I’d feel just weeks later.

For years I chalked it up to stress or getting older. Low energy, brain fog, brittle nails, constant fatigue. I’d literally wake up tired. Lab work? Always came back “normal. But one day I fell down a research rabbit hole and started reading about iodine. I realized I barely eat seafood, avoid dairy most of the time, and had switched to Himalayan salt a while ago, no surprise my levels were probably low.

Tried iodine drops (the kind that stain everything and taste like metal). Couldn’t stay consistent. I eventually found a spray that combines iodine with vitamin A, and it actually tastes okay. I spray it under my tongue in the morning and go about my day. Also, vitamin A is essential for how our cells use iodine, especially in the thyroid. Without enough A, iodine just doesn’t “land” or get processed properly. I didn’t realize they were that connected.

I’m about a few months in and honestly? I feel more like me. Clearer head, more stable mood, better focus. I’m still working on my overall health, but this was one of the missing pieces.

Just wanted to share in case someone else is tired of being tired and hasn’t looked into iodine yet. If you’re using something that works for you; would love to hear it.
