Fishing Game, daily locks?

Ok this might just be me overthinking but after another fishing event I swear to god I think they lock certain fish behind how many days til the event is closed. I caught absolutely nothing yesterday with like 6 fishing rods and then today I’ve used 2 and they both caught something super rare I hadn’t caught the entire time.
