38m, 5'10" (177cm), 205lbs, straight, single, monogamous, vaccinated, atheist, never married, childfree and don't want any, vasectomy, left leaning political stance, located in Edmonton, AB, Canada. Who I am and what I'm looking for:
I'm an ambivert (somewhere between introvert and extrovert); at home in any situation, social or by myself, though I tend to be more of a homebody due to my hobbies.
I'm looking for a long term, committed relationship. Looking for someone who either lives in or would be willing to relocate to Edmonton. I'm open to long-distance if we connect, but in that case the goal would be for you to move here eventually.
In a relationship, I'm looking for someone who can be my best friend, someone to share in activities and hobbies with. That being said, I'm not just looking for a friend, physical intimacy is very important to me and should be to you as well.

I value independence and personal responsibility in a partner, as well as a honesty, openness and a good sense of humor as I laugh a lot and enjoy making others laugh. I am very supportive but will not let you wallow in self-pity, life is too short to spend it beating yourself up.
Physically my only preference is that you take care of your body and not be heavily overweight. I'm not perfect and I don't expect you to be either, but I do expect that you care enough to work at it; we're all a work in progress! I don't care about any colour (hair, skin, eye, etc). Would prefer 5'10" (177cm) or shorter, but that's not an absolute if we connect otherwise.
Hobbies:
My main hobbies are pinball (both playing and restoration of machines), golf (indoor and outdoor) and PC gaming. I tend to my indoor and outdoor gardens which are expansive. I enjoying cooking and good food. I write, and one day you might see my novel on a shelf somewhere.
Other things I'm into include:
-Making music: I love both "normal" as well as modular synthesizers. I can semi-competently play anything with strings or keys.
-Board games/tabletop gaming/DnD (Frosthaven campaign ongoing for nearly 2 years)
-Movies (I watch everything, from old black and white, to foreign, to horror, to scifi, romance, etc. I also collect Criterion and Arrow physical media)
-Books (mostly sci-fi, fantasy and horror. I also love me some Stephen King)
-Bouldering, just in a rock gym, I've never climbed outdoors before. It's more of a fitness thing for me.
-Comics (no supes, prefer the indie stuff)
-Camping
-Photography
-Mountain biking
-Snowboarding
I have a relatively comfortable life and no debt. In the past I have worked as a plumber, electrician and estimator and I'm currently dipping into savings while writing a novel. Regardless of whether or not that works out long term, I will always have a good job to fall back on and the flexibility to try new things out.
What I'm not interested in:
-Astrology!
-Hustle culture/grind culture: Work to live, not the other way around.
-Right wing/conservative politics: I live in Alberta, there's plenty of that here and it's just not for me. I care about others, have empathy for those less fortunate and despise the billionaire class.
-Traveling as a lifestyle/personality
-Frequent outdoor adventures (as in, weekly)
