DC Finest endgame?

I am really enjoying the DC Finest trades so far. Especially as a Batman fan. With them adding the timeline on the back of the books are we to posit in theory that the ultimate goal is to have every Batman issue from his first appearance in Detective Comics #27 in 1939, all the way through to the last issues (Batman #713/Detective Comics #881) before the New 52 reset in 2011?
