Does Kaya have a right to be upset about certain words used towards her or did she bring it on herself?
Okay first off this is in no way meant to cause any racial divide or anything like that. It's a genuine question and I want to know what people think!
One of Kaya's main issues with the Dance Moms fandom and some of the cast is that they often referred to her as ghetto, hoodlum or that "she makes black women look bad" etc.
She says that it's racially motivated because the white moms have said terrible things, been just as loud and even resorted to physical altercations but they don't get called ghetto or hoodlum or accused of "making white women look bad" etc.
But there's also the fact that when Holly acts out no one calls her ghetto or hoodlum. No one really called Camille ghetto or hoodlum. If they did it definitely wasn't to the degree that Kaya gets called those names. So on one hand I can see why Kaya might feel that way. But on the other hand the other black moms have had their moments and have never been excessively called any names.
So honest discussion! Is it a racial thing or is it something Kaya kind of brought on herself?
