kitty tail turmoil :(

Hi all,

I recently acquired a four month old kitty from my boss. She was a stray, and I decided to foster (and failed because I love her, and she is mine now.)

They had taken her to the vet for an exam, shots, dewormer, the whole shebang before I took her home.

When I got her, they said she had had a sore on her tail, and just to make sure it doesn't abscess. She also has a strange notch-like bend in her tail, but they didn't mention it. When I called the emergency vet after it bled a little bit, vet said the notch was likely congenital.

Her sore never abscessed, only ever scabbed and bled the smallest bit here and there, but it is definitely getting... weirder? it's hard to describe, and I would attach pictures if I could.

She has lost fur about an inch in the middle of her tail, she has something like a ring of a scab around her tail, where the skin meets the tail. I've tried to press it, bend it a tad, trying to see if it causes her pain, but she doesn't seem bothered by it. The vet just keeps saying to 'keep an eye on it,' and doesn't seem terribly worried when I describe it.

Help me out here, should I just chill? Should I take her to the vet?
