Hi all, I’m getting started. I got an oracle deck and both yesterday and today, with two different types of spreads, my last card (and in today’s spread it was the card that was “my most pressing assignment”) was the Magical Card that expressly says to “make an altar” so I guess I have my marching orders!

But, as we do, I’m overthinking and overcomplicating this… need some suggestions on what to include.

I have been collecting some things, and I have a bit of a “mobile altar” in the form of a super-cool roadrunner tray I have from my grandmother. Basically I bring anything I’m going to use out on this tray and set it up on my back patio (which may change in winter). The tray is so cool but it’s very slippery so it might not be the ultimate solution, but I’m sure that can change.

My items include:
The oracle deck I’ve been pulling cards from daily
A notebook I’ve been writing some ideas/insights down in
A variety of chime candles but I’ve been overthinking lighting any and doing an actual spell
Various crystals
Some Palo santo

Also on the table are some cool rocks I found in my yard, a couple of which are broken geodes

What else could I add? I’ve added a photo of my “mobile” setup” from the other night, but other days it’s been pretty much the tray and the cards 😅

Thank you!

What items should my altar have?
