Best Game - Most Punishing Game

I posted earlier about struggling to deal with groups of Zombies and as a bonus struggling to get a generator book.

I want to share a couple of things. The way you start is a big deal, I was following guides and making builds taking some of the "free" negative traits but I didn't realize how big of a penalty some are, and although you can gain your way past (like Underweight) the early part of the game is the hardest and the reductions from those negative traits can make the early game WAY harder.

Next, I love this game and play it like an addict. But it's a really toxic relationship, god this game punishes you.

I just finished my best start to the game. I tweaked my settings to suite my playstyle, I made it so infection only transmits through bites thinking that would be more manageable. I basically just cleared Murdaugh, I got so good at pulling a few at a time from group after group. I killed over 400 zombies in my first week and was on my way back to my safe house to drop off my loot. I was set now for the long haul.

I came across a lone zombie in the road, no problem at all. Zombie shambled up and I lined up to push but whatever reason the push missed. Timing was perfect and zombie bit me straight on, just ended my game. I didn't make a mistake, maybe my mouse was off by a pixel. But after battling group after group after group it ended to 1 zombie.

I don't know if I should rage uninstall or try again knowing that playing the game to survive is a fools errand.

This game has no point, it's basically an RNG hell that will 100% get you, embarrassingly at the stupidest time.

How often do you start up another Character in the same playthrough world?

As I hover over the uninstall I know that I am going back for more punishment, just wondering what type of beating I want this time.
