Beginner summoner fantasy help

Pretty new to this game, my gf and her friends got me into playing lately. Any MMO I love being a summoner and building solely to that. I love minions. WoW I played warlock, ESO I played sorcerer. The thing is this game has quite a varied option of summoner esc characters to choose from. I’ve tried them all and they all have pros and cons. I assume the group I’m playing with wants to do end game content. I just want to know what class personifies summoner without weighing my team down by the end. Thanks for reading and commenting!
