Accountants, what do y’all think?

I was scrolling through LinkedIn and came across the title Accounting Specialist. Yeah, it’s a relatively new title and definitely in line with recent advancements in both AI and accounting.

Why is it considered new? Because it blends accounting with artificial intelligence which isn’t a traditional mix. It focuses on using your accounting knowledge to help train AI models on real accounting tasks.

As a student, should I be worried about this? Not really. It’s not a threat to the field, but more like a shift. The profession isn’t going away it’s evolving. If anything, it just means you might need to pick up some tech or data skills along the way to stay ahead.
