When in Romance
When in Romance
I'm simply so infatuated by you.
Your presence washes warmly over,
my doubts and sorrows, evanesce.
A solace, my revery.
Your crooked smile that scratches the deepest itch in my brain.
The opalescent flecks of blue in the green of your eyes.
That gentle voice that I have grown to love so dearly.
Please, don't let go,
my heart in hand, outstretched.
I will not,
my every fibre, every morsel,
every heartstring plucked.
I will hold, steadfast.
I hope one day you hear this,
I truly do.
When my worries become yours;
and your triumphs, my keepsakes.
When the rhythmic rise and fall of your chest,
reflects my own.
I wrote this poem about a girl I like, I hope I can read it to her in the distant future, if the feeling turns out to be mutual. She loves poetry so I think she will really appreciate it. Feel free to leave feedback if you like, although, I may never be back hear to read it.
