Starting my Unova journey with a Tepig who is going into the box until if needed.

Almost loss Chimchar to N with a crit to 1 HP! Hope this is not a sign for whats to come.

Cress: Monferno smashed his Lillipup with a crit mach punch, then I taunted his Panpour so it could't use work up and switched to Magnemite who took it out from there.

Lenora: Monferno solo'd.

Burgh: Monferno solo'd

Elesa: Since Kadabra seemed to be doing the best against the Emolgas from the trainers before getting to Elesa I decided to lead him. Out speed and took the 1st Emolga to half, then it volt switched to the other Emolga, that I again out speed and took to half while it used pursuit and took me to half. Then they both were taken out from there and then her came out her Zebstrika. I took a chance to switch into Roselia to hopefully poison it with her ability poison point, but that didn't happen. So now with baiting a flame charge I switched into Monferno, who I taught dig to before this fight. Worked like a charm and dig almost took it out, but a Mach punch to out prioritize it won the badge!

Clay: Feraligatr solo'd both Krokorok and Excadrill, and switched out to Roselia to deal with his Palpitoad.

Skyla: Magnezone solo'd.

Brycen: Infernape solo'd

Iris: Started with Feraligatr who pretty much solo'd her other then when her Haxorus dragon tailed force switch to my Magnezone. Then I took a hit and used volt switch to Infernape, who finished the match with a mach punch.

So before I went into the E4 challange I realized that in this game Bronzong cannot learn stealth rock which makes him not as relevant as I wanted him to be, so I will be retiring him and will bring on Ferrothorn to replace him. Also no loses to speak of to this point which was a suprise to me, I remember this gen being tough so maybe with the older mons the gym leaders arn't as tough or I am thinking of B2/W2. However not that there hasn't been some close calls, I realized I shouldn't lead Alakazam against most of Team Plasma due to a lot of them have pursit on at least 1 of their mons.

So now for my E4 challenge:

Shauntal: Started with my set up mon Ferrothorn and leech seeded and stealth rock while only getting burned. Then switched to Alakazam to finish off Cofagrigus, and then came out Jellicent while I switched to Magnezone. 1 thunderbolt took care of the jelly ghost and then Golurk was brought out. Figured I would try to flash cannon the golem and got a crit so I cant complain about that (honestly wasn't sure if he'd survive the most likely incoming earthquake and glad I didn't have to find out). Then her ace Chandelure, who I switch out Feraligatr to take it on. With a lucky miss I did't have to worry about Feraligtr taken too much damage before he could strike, and 1 waterfall was all it took.

Grimsley: Started with Ferrothorn again and set up the stealth rock but missed leech seed, then switched to Infernape and close combat took out his Scrafty. Then he brought out his Krookodile where close combat was still enough even after a intimidate. Next his Liepard and then his Bisharp were all solo'd by my fire monkey.

Caitlin: Again started with Ferrothorn and set up the stealth rock, took too much damage from her Reunicluc on that 1st turn so I am going to switch to Alakazam who took the incoming focus blast pretty well. 2 shadow balls and a thunder miss later and Reuniclus is down. She then brings out her Musharna who does bring Alakazam low but with another 2 shadow balls was able to take it out as well. Next she brings in her Sigilyph, and with a damaged Alakazam I then switch to Magnezone who tanks 2 psychics before he can get off a 1 shot thunderbolt. Knowing how well Magnezone can take psychic moves I keep him in and 2 more thunderbolts wins me this match.

Marshal: As before started with Ferrothorn and set up stealth rock, then switched to Roserade to set up 2 layers of toxic spikes. Being brought low with her I then switched to Alakazam who took the incoming bulldoze pretty well to my surprise. Then he brought in his Mienshao, expecting a U-turn and not sure if I will out speed after the SPD lowering from bulldoze I chose to switch out to Magnezone who I know would tank that move. Of course I was correct in that guess and he brought out Conkeldurr that Magnezone 1 shot thunderbolted to death. Then came back his Mienshao who I expect to use high jump kick, so I then switched to Feraligatr who I thought would be the best to be able to take that and again this was the case. Feraligatr took the kick and a following kick (because he's slow) very well and with 1 waterfall took out the Mienshao (also thanks to all the stealth rock and poison damage probaly helped). With Feraligatr soo low I was forced to switch and expecting a grass knot from his now in Sawk I went back into Magnezone. Instead he used stone edge, which still didn't do much so I will take that. However Magnezone is slower and took a karate chop to 5 HP before I volt switched out to Infernape. Figured the whole team can get into this win since Infernape has been the only one who hasn't fought yet. Of course he full restores his Sawk while I get in some mach punch damage and then finish him off with a flamethrower the following turn. With that we are now the champion. However in this one I will continue until I beat Alder

N: Started with Ferrothorn because I forgot to move him out. Either way switched to Feraligatr who was able to take a fusion flare and a hyper beam on really low HP but 2 waterfalls was about to do the job. Next he brought in his Klinklang who I then swithced out to Infernape who took a crit thunderbolt and then smashed it in with a close combat the next turn. He then brought out Carracosta, that forced me to switch to Roserade who since I had out choose to take a turn to set up toxic spikes and then finished the turtle with 1 giga drain. Thats what I thought but I didn't realize it had sturdy, so after a full restore to took 2 more to then take it out. Then came out Vanilluxe, not taking a chance with it being Zoroark or not, a blizzard wouldn't do good for Roserade, so I switch back into Infernape. It was a blizzard that came next but my fire monkey was able to stay in with 2 HP remaining and close combat took that ice cone out. Then Zoroak was next who also fell to a close combat, and then with his Archeops I choose to switch out to Magnezone to deal with it not chancing my Infernape. 1 thunderbolt does it in and I win this match.

Ghetsis: Sure glad my mons were healed before this fight, couldn't remember if they did or not since it's been awhile since I played this game. Again starting with my Ferrothorn for set up, I got stealth rocks out and toxic and leech seeded his Cofagrigus. Since he cant toxic me and his best move against me is shadow ball I figured I'd stay in and raise my defense up with Ferrothorn. After 1 full restore was used Ferrothron was able to take him out and then he brought out the big guy Hydreigon. Fearing a fire blast I then switched to Feraligatr, and he missed his fire blast. That was a relief but his following dragon pulse did a little too much damage while Feraligatr left him with about a quarter health. So being forced to switch again to went to Alakazam who takes a dark pulse and returns with a focus blast to finish him off. His next mon Bisharp is also taken out by a focus blast. With his Eelektross, I then switch out to Infernape who takes a wild charge to half. A close combat finishes the electric eel and his next in coming Bouffalant. Then for his last mon Seismitoad I switch out to Roserade who scared me a little since the switch into earthquake took her very low, but my girl survived and with 1 giga drain won the match.

2nd E4 challenge since this game likes to keep me from my proper champion bout.

Shauntal 2: Started with Ferrothorn to set up a leech seed, then toxic, then stealth rock and only getting burn from will-o-wisp took him down to half before I switch to Alakazam to finish Cofagrigus with a shadow ball. Then she brought out Jellicent, I then switched to Roserade to set up 2 sets of toxic spikes and gained her health back with a giga drain. Then Frolass came out that made me switch to Feraligatr who with 1 crunch took her out and with not taking very much damage. Then Drifblim was sent out and fearing a possible thunder hit I switched out to Magnezone who did take the hit like a champ and 1 shot thunderbolt took that balloon out. Golurk came out and I didn't want to chance that flash cannon doesn't crit this time and get earthquaked to death, so I switch out to Feraligatr. He used hammer arm instead and so 1 waterfall took out the golem. Then came out her Chandelure, and with Feraligatr low and to make sure to bait a fire blast I switched out to Magnezone who tanked a shadow ball. Then I switched to Infernape that then took the fire blast. Then my next shadow claw got a crit and took out the fire lamp.

Grimsley: Started with Ferrothron again for the same start. Was able to keep Ferro out and waste a full restore and took out the Sharpedo. Then came out Drapion and I did the same thing in leech seeding and toxicing it. Before it went down it got a burn on Ferro so when Scrafty came out I got another leech seed and toxic off before switching to make sure a crit wont take Ferro out since he was getting in range even after maxing DEF. I switched out to Infernape which after his switch turn Scrafty was low enough for a mach punch to take out. Then his following Krookodile, Liepard, and Bisharp were all 1 shot close combat like last time.

Caitlin: Start with Ferro again and to do the same as usual except dealing with being put to sleep was annoying. Once I got all my set up done I then switched to Alakazam and took out her Musharna. Then she brings in her big boy Metagross which I then bring in my Infernape that takes a giga impact down to the red, while the next turn I flamethrower it to death. Sigilyph was next out and I switch to Magnezone who takes an air slash like it was nothing and 1 shot it with thunderbolt the next turn. She then sends out Reuniclus and I volt switch out back to Alakazam who tanks a focus blast very well. Then Alakazam finished it off with a shadow ball. Bronzong was next so I switch again back into Infernape and took a payback that did little to nothing and on my next turn this Bronzong coundn't stand a single flamerthrower. With Infernape being low I didn't want to risk shadow claw not KOing her Gothitelle, so I switch to Magnezone who should be able to deal with most of its moves and got hit with a thunderbolt on switch. 1 thunderbolt of my own and 1 flash cannon later the Gothitelle was done and match was mine.

Marshal: Started again with my Ferro, was only able to set up stealth rock before I needed to switch. Alakazam was a beast and took the Brelooms sky uppercut to less then half. Then Alakazam went through his entire team with no mercy, not 1 of his mons could stand up to my Alakazam.

Alder: Again with my set up mon Ferro, took out his Accelgor since it just kept spamming me first and all i was doing was leech seed, toxic, stealth rock, and iron defense. Then he brought out his ace in Volcarona and the stealth rocks did their job wonderfully. I brought out Feraligatr to deal with that fire bug, and then with his next mon in Escavalier I switched out to Infernape who then proceeded to rip through the rest of his team like nothing. Now I am the champion of Unova proper.

This was a fun run and not as scary as I thought it was going to be. The E4 was a bit of a challenge, but the gym leaders were much more of push overs then I thought they'd be. Still I will not let my guard down for the next run through Unova in White 2.

Thank you for everyone who is putting up with me posting these, it has been more of a fun post on my part and something to have as a reminder of my 1st genlocke.

Genlocke Unova run.
