Did/does anyone abuse narcotics as an act of rebellion?
Idk what flair to use. I'm 37 and haven't used hard drugs in about 10 years, but I was diagnosed with epilepsy when I was 12 and when I was about 14, I started experimenting. Obviously since you have so many limitations with epilepsy, you can't maintain a drug habit (namely, having no money and no ride)... but that was pretty much all I used to live for. I think the meaning of life means something else to epileptics. But I've never told my doctors and have always wondered how "normal" that self-destructive behavior was.
Also, I did try LSD twice when I told myself I never would- but it didn't have the consequences I expected and alcohol has actually been the worst for my epilepsy. It's the only substance that made me seize or slam me with a migraine, actually.
