Customer Service/Sales Job Question

(I posted this same question on another thread. I'm not sure I did posted it correctly as I'm new to this site. I apologize for posting twice!)

I've been searching for an entry level position at Progressive. I don't have any sales experience in the insurance industry. If I see a remote position opened, but it's for a different state, am I still eligible to apply for it? I read the job description and it doesn't say that I must live in that state. I will appreciate any feedback about a customer service agent/sales position. Thank you!
