Is turo still a viable option to make money?

I recently found a 2017 Mitsubishi mirage with 56k miles for around 6k. I have a lot of expendable income and i figured maybe i could make a little bit a money with a small fleet of cars, and just test the waters with the one car. I also live 10mins from the airport in my city (manchester NH). Now ive been researching like crazy, and i feel like the general consensus is that turo has changed tremendously in the last year or so and a lot of people are backing out of the business and selling their fleet. I hear nothing but horror stories, but i also hear from SOME people that its completely fine. Do i shoot my shot and see what happens? Is this app actually “dying” like some people say? Am i too late to the punch? Id love any unbiased input.
