Why am I getting low fps?
Hey guys,
So I’ve run into something kinda weird and wanted to check if anyone else with an AMD gpu has experienced this.
I recently installed Arkham Knight from FitGirl (huge respect — not throwing shade at all), but I’m getting really low fps (like 25–30 FPS) . I’ve seen yt benchmarks with RTX 3050 laptops getting like 60-70 FPS at maximum possible settings, so I’m really confused because the RX 7600S should easily outperform that.
What’s even more frustrating is that games I’ve downloaded officially, like Marvel Rivals from Steam, run perfectly fine. I get around 100–120 FPS on low settings with FSR Quality, which is pretty close to 4060 mobile benchmarks (gets around 140 fps at low settings with dlss q). Even Ghost of Tsushima (also from FitGirl) runs great.
So it’s not like my laptop is weak or something. It’s clearly capable — just certain games are struggling hard, and I can’t figure out why. Could it be an AMD optimization issue? Or maybe something with the repack config that needs tweaking?
If anyone else with a similar setup has faced this or has any tips, I’d really appreciate it. The laptop is barely 3 weeks old and I’m already questioning my life choices lol.
