Starting my first full-time job…any tips to grow, contribute & thrive?
Hey everyone!
I’m about to start my first full-time job as an Account Manager at a large company, and I’m honestly so excited (and a little nervous). The pay is surprisingly good, and I want to give back by doing a great job and really adding value from day one.
What’s cool is that they mentioned they’d love someone with a fresh perspective so they want optimizations, or new ways of doing things. I want to make sure I contribute in a smart and thoughtful way.
If you’ve been in this kind of role (or even just corporate life in general), I’d love your advice:
• Small productivity hacks that made a big difference
• How to organize emails/tasks without burning out
• Ways to prioritize when everything feels important
• Smart questions to ask teammates, managers, or clients
• How to socialize without feeling awkward or forced
• Tools, pages, or newsletters that made your job easier
• Ideas that helped you improve a process or workflow
• How to spot opportunities to add value or suggest changes
Basically anything you wish someone had told you before starting your first “real” job. 🙌 Thank you in advance for any tips, links, or lessons you’re willing to share!
