Hot hot heat 🐶

Hey Charleston does anyone know of local puppy hangout groups for play dates. I’m a new pup owner since February and he’s almost 6 months old and just got neutered. I rescued him in February through a nonprofit so I’ve been his only owner (idk what info is relevant or not) but none the less he has no history of aggression. We meet pups at the beach in passing but that it. We haven’t had any bad experiences. If the dog is calm he is fine but if they come up to say high and with a lot of excitement he’ll put me in between him and the new dog or if a group of dogs bombard him (in a friendly way) he gets uncomfortable for sure. He’s always been this way but I don’t want it to develop into something negative and I don’t know anyone who owns a dog. Plus the hot weather is somewhat delaying opportunities for me to have him around more dogs but I don’t want more time to go by with him feeling this way. Any info about puppy play dates would be greatly appreciated. Thanks kindly
