Thursday Wedding

Hey everyone! My partner and I are planning our wedding in Canada and we’re seriously considering doing it on a Thursday. Most of our guest list- including us- are shift workers or don’t work a typical 9–5 schedule, so a weekday wedding feels a bit more doable logistically and financially.

We’re hoping this option will let us create a celebration that aligns more with our vision (and budget), but we do have one hesitation- Will guests actually want to stay, dance, and enjoy the night, or will they be itching to leave early because it’s a weeknight?

The venue would be no more than an hour away from where most guests live, and we’ll have hotel blocks available too. We’re hoping those who need to will just take the Friday off- especially since they’ll know well in advance.

If you’ve had or attended a weekday wedding, especially a Thursday one, we’d love to hear your thoughts! Did it still feel like a full celebration? Anything you’d do differently?
