Foundation course with Commendation

So as the title says, I passed my foundation year course with an average grade of 70% and it says in my results that it’s a pass with commendation, i just wanted to know what it meant and if i could use it to help with any potential funding down the line or even to just get better support in university. If it is something as plain as just acknowledging that i’ve done well that’s okay too, i just wanted to know if there was anything i could further do with this!
