NBN FTTP and Unit Rentals
So, FTTP was rolled out in my area last year from memory, or earlier this year.
I live in a block of 4 units, all ground floor units. Even though they are classified as units, they can be described as two separate blocks, each consisting of two units (similar to duplexes in a way - units 1 and 2 share a wall, units 3 and 4 share a wall, but are physically separate to units 1 and 2.
All units are on the one title, and owned by the one investment owner.
NBN Co advise to get in contact with the owner/blah blah.
I have previously spoken to the rental company, who spoke to the owner, who was happy to allow for FTTP connection, with the caveat that any additional costs are to be met by those who want it connected.
And that was months ago.
My ISP says that the NBN have this property marked as FTTN, but it's clear that no-one knows what is supposed to happen next.
I've read there's a $275 or so connection fee involved, but given that NBN Co are wholesalers, how on earth are any of these 4 units supposed to get connected to FTTP?
Can anyone shed some light on this or point me in the direction of getting FTTP connected?
Thanks.
