Trope name for when a movie franchise becomes more outlandish as it goes on

So I was looking at the Die Hard series recently because I noticed that the series became more outlandish as it went on as the first one was a fairly grounded movie about a guy trapped in a very hectic situation who has to use his wits to survive.

Then in the fifth and final installment, he gets superpowers for some reason as sometimes he gets thrown through windows high in the air without taking any damage as I was wondering what this trope was called for when movie series go in such a direction.
