Is Batman ever genuinely afraid of his foes?

In my head Batman doesnt fear anyone. I see it as though he fears what they could do, and general consequence. Fears not catching them, or preventing whatever theyre doing.
Fears consequence.

But am i off? Does he fear fighting Bane, or navigating Jokers hide out, or when he is waste deep in miller crocs area?
