What is wrong with showing excess love towards your siblings?

Especially if they are opposite gender this seems to be even more true. If I am a girl and I have a brother who I like a lot I'm without fail going to be showing him excess love and I believe between anybody in life this hold true as well. However people seem to have other thinking and thus results in this conclusion that I can't do that anymore.
