Texas Assault family member

My wife had been drinking and tried to kick me. I blocked her kick but she fell face first. She claimed I punched her and called the police.

Judge ordered a 61/62 day protection order and I’m not allowed to contact her or family. I’m fighting the case, she isn’t pressing charges and offered to write an affidavit of non persecution.

My step son and her have been calling, texting and emailing me. I have of course ignored and asked my lawyer to reach out to her and inform her I can’t make contact.

I am still supporting the family by having my family member send money on my behalf as she isn’t working.

I feel guilty for not being there for my step son as he starts school soon. I miss them even though I know she screwed me. Have my first therapy session in a couple days to help me work through things in my head.

Anybody been in my shoes that help me navigate through the pain or how to get the case dropped/ protection reduced?

I don’t know what lies between my wife and I after. Divorce or counseling but I’m not even able to talk to her regarding this till the case is dropped and to keep her calm through this process?
