Did you leave ward nursing after a year? Do you regret it skills wise

Hi everybody, I’m a registered nurse with a year and 6 months experience in a busy surgical ward. I do shift work and no set roster and I’ve recently been looking into doing something different. I’m not coping with 12 hour night shifts and the disruptions to my sleep schedule all the time, I feel like a walking zombie. I am worried though that if I change to something a bit more “soft” that I will lose my skills and won’t be seen as employable if I wanted to change to something else in the future. Some jobs I’ve applied for are day related jobs including consent nurse for scopes, general practice, periop and transit lounge. Have you left ward nursing and what to? Did you regret it? If you changed and decided you wanted to go back to the ward, was it fairly easy? Thank you in advance I’m feeling so lost but I know I’m not 100% happy 😭💓
