DU Admission — Proof of Admission Cancellation from backup College?

Hi everyone,

I recently got admitted to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC), Delhi University through the CSAS 2025 process.

Before that, I had taken admission in B.Com (1st Sem) at Gauhati Commerce College (GCC), under Gauhati University, as a backup option. However, I’ve now cancelled that admission through Assam Samarth Portal.

During the DU CSAS registration, I had selected "Yes" for the question “Are you currently enrolled in a university or college?” and give the samrath registration number — because at that time, I was enrolled in GCC.

Now that I’ve cancelled the admission, I want to know:

Will DU ask for proof of cancellation during physical document verification?

The only proof I currently have is a screenshot from the Samarth portal showing the status: "Admission Cancelled as per the Applicant's Request".

I also have my College Leaving Certificate (CLC) from Class 12 at GCC, since I completed my 11th & 12th there.

Will the Samarth screenshot be enough, or should I try getting a formal cancellation letter/email from GCC?

Anyone with a similar experience or advice would be really appreciated 🙏
