328xi 2DR AWD.. so tempting but I know nothing about older BMWs

I've only ever bought new.

I was just browsing and saw this BMW with 38,000KM mileage (thats 23612 in freedom units). And priced at $15,000 CAD.

One owner, no accident

From Carfax service report in 2023 Aug (last dated):

  • Maintenance inspection completed
  • Recommended maintenance performed
  • Air filter replaced
  • Air intake hose replaced
  • Alignment checked
  • Antifreeze/coolant flushed/changed
  • Brake fluid flushed/changed
  • Cabin air filter replaced/cleaned
  • Drive belt tensioner replaced
  • Drive belt(s) replaced
  • Fluids checked
  • Oil and filter changed
  • Serpentine belt replaced
  • Tail light assembly replaced
  • Wiper(s) replaced
  • Wiring repaired

Again, I know nothing about these older cars, I'm not sure if buying this would be a foolish move. My wife would take our current Q5 to commute, I work from home so this would be my "fun" car, as well as to drop off and pick up my toddler at daycare.

It's just really funny because I can see other $15,000 cars being priced for nissans that I KNOW are money pits (I know because my in-laws are going through some pains right now, and they don't even drive much and they drive very carefully).

Would I be wasting my efforts and money getting this or given the previous service, am I good for at least few years until the bills start rolling in?
