Is it normal to wanna get engaged young but wait a while to get married?

I’m 18 and I wanna get engaged by the time I’m like 19-23 but I wanna wait a while before I actually get married. I feel like the engagement for me would kind of confirm where my relationship is going, give me security and also just relieve some stress within planning my life but I feel no rush to have the wedding because I’m the type to stress out and rush and I wanna have time to figure it out so I can have a good time. Plus I want a house a stability before marriage.
