Has anyone had difficulties meeting a second time on bumble BFF?

(26f) It’s been hard to make consistent friendships on bumble bff. I get a lot of matches and meet people often, but planning our second meet up has been almost impossible. I was texting the two people I met and when I asked how their day was going they mentioned that they were hanging out with their friends. When I tried to plan our second meet up they said they’d be busy and will let me know when they’re free again. Two months have passed and they still haven’t told me when they’ll be free.

I think some people on bumble bff already have friends and don’t have time for new friendships. This is frustrating because I put on my profile that I’m looking to make friends with people that have time to hangout consistently, once or twice every two months ideally.

I’ve been thinking of ways to weed out flaky/super busy people because it’s disappointing to have a fun first meet up, agree to meet again, talk about what we’re gonna do the next time we hangout, only to end up texting back and fourth for months.

Is this something anyone else has had to deal with? What else can I put on my profile or say to my matches to let them know that I want to hangout in person, not be penpals?
