VIP Update Items

Hi I have a question that I was wondering anybody could answer. So if I bought VIP after an update like the valentines update for example, it has items that are VIP exclusive and during the update I didn't have VIP so in the valentines section of the dressing booth I just have the non-vip items right. Now that I've bought it after the fact would I now be able to use the vip valentines update items or no?

Sorry if this doesn't make sense 😅
