What age do I have to be to finally date the men I want to?

I have always liked older men but I have noticed as a 24F people get so worked up if I even mention it. Everyone thinks I’m going to get manipulated due to the age gap. I find that notion silly given I have seen tons of same age couples with manipulation. Many guys my age are highly manipulative also. I don’t think age has anything to do with it but more to do with personality. I also don’t get the power imbalance aspect as much. In most relationships there will always be a more dominant partner (even if slightly). It all depends on what works for the individual couple. I personally like my man to be more in charge so this doesn’t bother me. In fact it’s a reason I find older men attractive. I also like the dynamic of having someone to look up to and feel secure in their presence. Plus guys my age tend to gross me out. Most of them just want me for my body/looks. I am an old soul and I really want a classic gentleman type. Always found mature looking men hotter. My question is at what age will people start minding their own business and accept me dating someone older than me (10+ years age gap)? When will they stop thinking I’m mature enough to make that decision and not call me a child when it comes to my preference?
