How not to feel useless, since you are enemployed and no other source of income?

Well, I have been unemployed for 7 months now because I cant anymore bear working in a toxic office environment. Though this is my decision, I feel like the people who are trying to understand my situation, I feel like they see me now as a burden to them. To explain my side, I am afraid to work when it is related to my profession. I was confident that I can still do what the profession requires but I am afraid of failing again because I always choose to runaway when things are hard.
