About to be denied boarding - wizzair

Wizzair oversold the flight 29/07/2025 LTN-KRK 8:25AM. I checked in online as usual, didn’t get a boarding pass, showed up earlier, was told at the desk I’m a standby. During the check in I was asked if I’d volunteer my seat up, I chose no.

I imagine I won’t be flying today so I want to be prepared for what happens next.

Ideally I want to fly this AM still even if to another destination in the country. And if they gonna screw me over, even if legally, I want to make sure I don’t make a mistake by not getting smth in writing or letting them walk all over me and wait for 2 years to get a compensation.

The gate hasn’t shown yet, so I can’t even wait by it or ask anyone anymore questions.
