Tips for bangkok?

My partner has paid the deposit for hairtran in a few months so just looking to get some must do's/don't

We are looking at staying around 10 days and staying at the ascott thonglor hotel, we figured we'd be hanging around the hotel a fair bit to avoid his head getting sweaty/risk getting bumped etc but I'm curious if you guys went out and about to explore a little bit later on or just rested most of the time?

Any other tips would be welcome
