Did i fuck up my pacifist ruote?

it's my first time playing undertale and I don't know much about it (in the big 25 🥀) but i wanted to do the pacifist route. When I had ti fight toriel i couldn't spare her so I tried to weaken her by attacking but the last attack did 200 of damage and I killer her accidentally, did this compromise the pacifist route or was this something necessary?
