Recourses on how to be with someone who has HPD

Hi, I recently met a girl who I highly suspect has at least some HPD features. We didn't talk diagnosis or anything, just mental health, therapy and life struggles in general. I think she's cool/like her a lot for many reasons and I'd like to maintain contact with her. However, I am afraid I will hurt her because I don't know how to respond properly.

So the thing is, I have schizotypal personality disorder, and I am mostly afraid of 2 things to happen:

  • I will have anhedonia and will ghost her or at least not be able to give her attention when she needs to. __ quick fix from my perspective: I explain my issue & she can be occupied with the presence of other people || would that work? Or is it unrealistic?

  • I will reson into an uncommon concept with little foundation and she will believe in my really dillusional thought.

Both problems occure with my interactions with neurotypical people as well and I am afraid the problem is just bigger with someone with HPD. I am also afraid she's more upset about my own secretiveness since she's so open about things it feels unfair.

My intrest in building some sort of relationship with her comes from her manners of asking questions and looking at me. They don't feel intrusive or pervasive at all, although it is intense and interesting. I get a crippling feeling from almost all people who show some intrest in me, including people I am much closer with. Although I still struggle opening up to her I think it's easier for me with her. I also just really like the way she talks about her experiences, plus we have some common interests so a light form of friendship seems worth a try in that sense.

I was hoping to find recourses on how to communicate and deal with people with HPD online, however all I found were mostly surfaced descriptions of what HPD is and forms of the common nasty recommendations to cut off with people who have a personality disorder.

Do you maybe have some recommendations? It doesn't need to be specifically for the case of StPD, I guess that would be impossible to find. But I would be super grateful for just some general advice on what to keep in mind and how certain behaviour/situations might feel to them. It will help me consider if I'd be able to do this and how.

Thank you in advance! Also, since I don't have HPD myself and am asking for advice I understand if you prefer me to remove this post from your sub. Just tell me so and I will do it.
