Does the newer iPhone pros have a weak spot on the display?

Just wondering, because I noticed that the top speaker is now basically just the edge of the screen and if you look at the speaker at a specific angle you can see some light within the speaker leaking from the screen on top.

Does this mean on that area of the screen, which looks to me like an thin layer of glass, is less supported by the frame? And if it’s the case doesn’t that mean that area is a bit more vulnerable to excess pressure, force and drops?
