Brothers, what should the Iron Warriors look like on the table?
You guys are some of the most homebrew friendly, kit bash heavy, awesome bunch of 40kers I've seen so far.
Me and my friends group have been redesigning 40k for a long time, I've done the core rules and several factions. We have a laser focus on table dynamics and feel. I make sure that at the end of any turn, the table looks beautiful aesthetically yet still maintains tactical and strategic depth. Each and every unit feels like it's incentivized to behave how it really would in a battle. This has been 5 years of iterating. I'm looking at the Iron Warriors now.
I like to check in with the communities of the factions to get a vibe check and to see what they need as players. I'm inviting you to give me a real wall of text. I will psychoanalyze and ponder on everything you write to make the cleanest, simplest yet most potent expression of the Iron Warriors fantasy on the table I can.
What are the most important lore elements of the Iron Warriors to represent on the table?
What should it feel like to pilot a Iron Warriors? What should it feel like to play against them?
What are some of your oldest most beloved rules you remember?
What were some of your favorite synergies and interactions?
What are some nuances of their lore Wames Gorkshop has neglected to include in the rules over the years?
Just go nuts. What do YOU want from the Iron Warriors on the table? What do you wish would happen each and every game that would make it worth coming out to roll dice, win or loss.
