Insurance Claim

Package never delivered, filed a claim with both bank and USPS; got permanent credit with bank but a month or 2 later, got a check in the mail with insurance amount of $100 bucks; since I already got paid by my bank, do I still get to keep the check and cash it in? or what am I supposed to do?
