Paid OfferUp Seller; They have ghosted me; replying to others - petty advice

I understand that this may be a bit petty, but I ultimately feel like I have a reason to be upset because the intended items are a gift.

I had paid a seller on offer up for some used toys for my toddler nephews. Seller seemed reputable, with all 5-star ratings on over 30 sales. We scheduled a date for a time for them to deliver. They blew up my phone an hour before our meet date wanting to meet then, but I had missed the texts, not expecting contact until the designated time.

No problem; scheduled for the following day, or two. An hour before the meet-up I receive a message saying that he had a family emergency and would have to schedule another day. Told him no problem, gave him the benefit of the doubt, was totally understanding and let him know I am in no rush. He even gave me his number saying he wasn't trying to dodge me.

A week goes by and I shoot another message wishing well and asking If i could pick up the item in the next few days, instead of him delivering. I just wanted to pick up the items and get it over with..but not replies, the next day, the next day, nor the following. I shoot him a text letting him know it's me and that I can pick up the item instead now. Still nothing.

It is a bit annoying due to the fact that OfferUp tells you when the user is active, and they were constantly active everyday throughout the week, leaving me unread.

I see that they made another sale a few days ago, so I decided to have a friend reach out regarding an item for sale. To no surprise, they replied, and they have a "scheduled sale," tomorrow, which ultimately will be me confronting the individual.

Now I have no intention of being violent, threatening, or anywhere in that nature, because that's just not a good idea. But I have no problem confronting them when they are blatantly ignoring and have no intention of giving me the item I paid for.

I understand that this may ultimately be petty, but I just am annoyed due to the fact that these were purchased as gifts for my nephews.

What is the best way to go about this, or say? I don't intend on like holding another item hostage as collateral, I just genuinely want to confront this 23 year old man lol.

Thank you for reading. And again sorry it sounds petty over toys for kids.

tl;dr: petty? I purchased an item on OfferUp. Our two planned meetings did not go through/flaked. Seller is not returning my messages, returning others'. Am meeting the seller tomorrow without them knowing it's me.
