Bailing from Security Deposit

Hey All,

I made a security deposit with a breeder and having second thoughts.

I wanted to be apart of the process early and found a breeder near me. I went to visit the female who was in heat at the time and she was small but nothing crazy (15 pounds).

I only received pictures of the studs. He was small in photos and was told he was 13 pounds.

I was kind of in the heat of the moment and paid the deposit ($1000). After receiving more pictures of the studs after, I believe the litter will be too small when fully grown and goes against my expectations.

I want to bail from the contract that I signed that is your typical contract of “non refundable unless litter doesn’t happen”.

I want to call the breeder and share my feelings. What do you think the chances are I get my deposit refunded?
