Jalen Hurts is essential for Philly

No not just ANY qb could do what he does for Philly because he buys into the culture more than anyone else in that locker room. He had something to prove and a chip on his shoulder for a long time, and he’s always brought that to the team. His quotes that he drops bring something to the team because he really is buying into all of it and bringing the rest of the team into it too. Yes, it’s a stacked team, but that’s the thing: stacked teams are hard to work with too. Competition for credit can SEVERELY damage a team culture and lead to infighting but the birds are some of the best all around as far as locker rooms go. Getting breakout growth out of players like Zack Baun REQUIRES good culture and REQUIRES good buy in to unlock that untapped potential. Of course it all needs good coaching too, but the qb has to lead by example and Hurts always has, through every coaching change, through the wins and losses, all of it. He sets the standard. I’ve seen many qbs have some pretty childish moments before, but Hurts has always kept it cool.
