Are boys generally more energetic than girls? (Under 12m) is this normal?

Hi all, I went to a mothers group and my son seemed to be sooo crazy compared to some of other kids. He was climbing on top of me, whilst the other kids which were girls just chilled in their mums lap. Is this the norm? Am I looking at high energy all the way through to teen years? Haha could you please tell me your experience with your kids under 12m? Is this normal behaviour or should I be worried.
